I had a delightful stay at this onsen hotel nestled in the mountains of central Izu. The location is serene and quite private, with lovely views from my room. The facilities, while enjoyable, could use a bit more to stand out compared to nearby hotels. The dining was pleasant, but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the heat inside the hotel was a downside due to the electricity shortage affecting many places in Japan.

Dinner and breakfast were served in a beautifully designed restaurant, though the food, while of high quality, didn't quite wow me.

The onsen was well-kept and offered a nice variety of baths, but the overall facilities didn’t quite differentiate themselves from other places.

I had a lovely stay at Sora in Shuzenji, a charming onsen hotel nestled in the mountains of Izu. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor onsen is quite a unique experience. However, while the service is good, it didn't feel exceptional compared to nearby options. The lack of entertainment facilities might be a downside for some. Overall, it’s a great place for relaxation at a reasonable price.

Sora is a unique blend of traditional and modern elements, set in a serene location up in the mountains of Shuzenji. The spacious rooms offer beautiful views, and the onsen experience is delightful with illuminated outdoor baths. Dining is high quality; however, the hotel doesn't stand out among its peers in the area, which is why I've rated it a bit lower.

Sora is a unique onsen hotel nestled in Shuzenji, offering spacious rooms with stunning mountain or river views. The design cleverly mixes old and modern aesthetics, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The onsen itself is delightful, with a memorable outdoor bath experience. However, the lack of standout features compared to nearby hotels is a drawback, and the high temperatures due to electricity shortages were uncomfortable.

This hotel offers a unique mix of old and modern charm, nestled in the beautiful onsen town of Shuzenji, just a few hours from Tokyo. The onsen experience is quite enjoyable, with well-maintained facilities and a lovely outdoor bath. However, the overall experience doesn't quite stand out compared to other hotels in the area, and I found the high temperature inside the hotel a bit uncomfortable during my stay.
